Nebraska Public Power Disctrict (NPPD), the state''s largest electric utility, awarded National Wind Assessments a contract to install 10 meteorological towers throughout the northeastern part of the state. Although Nebraska ranks sixth in the nation in wind power potential, it currently ranks 19th in actual production. The first phase of met tower installation will begin later this month.

On March 14, Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (WPSC) announces that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire 150 MW of the High Country Energy Wind Park. High Country Energy and WPSC expect to wrap up the permitting and transmission process and begin construction on this portion of the wind park in the next two years.
