Peter Mastic Joins National Wind as President and Chief Development Officer

Minneapolis, MN - September 21, 2010.- Peter Mastic has joined National Wind as President and Chief Development Officer, with overall responsibility for project development and project finance. He reports to Leon Steinberg who remains Chief Executive Officer. Mastic was previously founder and CEO of Third Planet Windpower, LLC and before that co-founder and Managing Director of Noble Environmental Power, LLC. He will now lead the development of National Wind’s project portfolio, consisting of 15 community wind farms, with over 4,000 megawatts (MW) in active development.

High Country Energy Seeks New Advisory Board Candidates to Help Shape Local Wind Project

Kasson, MN, June 4th, 2010: High Country Energy, LLC is in search of new advisory board candidates to fill one open seat and up to three others which are up for re-election. Candidates will be chosen from amongst interested parties who currently are or may become project participants. The advisory board is a key component to the development approach of High Country Energy’s community-based wind project. Local board members work side by side with the project developer, National Wind, by providing local counsel on the issues that matter to the community.

Root River Energy Signs Over 20,000 Acres For Community Wind Project

Ostrander, MN - December 10th, 2009- Root River Energy, along with managing partner, National Wind, is proud to announce that it has secured over 20,000 acres of land in Mower and Fillmore Counties. This represents about two-thirds of the leased acres needed to develop up to 300 megawatts of community-owned wind energy in the area. With 10,000 acres signed in the last few months, Root River Energy’s Jim Connolly and Barry Rogne have been one of National Wind’s most productive field teams during this period.

Norden Joins Northwest Ohio Wind Energy Development Team

Grover Hill, Ohio – September 16, 2009 – Northwest Ohio Wind Energy, LLC, announces the addition of a new field specialist to its community wind development team. Bradley Norden, of Wauseon, OH, will work with landowners and farmers in southern Paulding and northern Van Wert Counties to develop 300 megawatts (MW) of community-owned wind power projects in the area.

National Wind, LLC, Receives 2009 Minnesota Environmental Initiative Green Business of the Year Award

Minneapolis, Minnesota – May 28, 2009 – National Wind, LLC, announces today that it has received the 2009 Minnesota Environmental Initiative (MEI) Green Business and Environmental Management Award. The award recognizes National Wind’s business model of partnering with communities to build utility-scale wind farms. National Wind is currently developing twelve families of wind projects across the Midwest and Plains States. The company has more than 1000 landowner partners and over 1300 megawatts (MW) of locally-owned wind projects in development or operation in Minnesota alone.
